Abydon's Hammer is a soulbound war hammer in Pillars of Eternity, added in The White March - Part II expansion. Unlike other war hammers, it must be wielded with two hands due to its size. It can be wielded by characters of any class.
Description[ | ]
Despite being topped by a mere fragment of Abydon's original hammer, this weapon, now sized for kith hands, is still an instrument of awesome destructive force. The faces of the great hammer's head still bear the toolmarks of their creator. Not even the fires of the White Forge could erase Abydon's work.
Acquisition[ | ]
- [WM2] Forged in The White Forge during the Lair of the Eyeless quest.
Soulbound upgrades[ | ]
Note: When upgrading Abydon's Hammer to level 2, it loses the Spell Striking: Destroy Eyeless enchantment.

Notes[ | ]
- Unlike other soulbound weapons, the in-game description of Abydon's Hammer does not change as its abilities are unlocked. It will always have the same description.
- Abydon's Hammer is the only soulbound item that adds enchantments on bind (at soulbound level 1), making it not particularly useful when unbound. All other soulbound items have the same enchantments at base and level 1, and only modify enchantments at level 2 and above.
- Since all passive effects from weapons stack in Pillars of Eternity, the Of Might 4 enchantment on Abydon's Hammer has the uncommon property of stacking with might bonuses from other items, e.g. armor.[1]
- Severing and re-binding Abydon's Hammer after upgrading it to level 2 will immediately restore it fully, making it impossible to revert to soulbound level 1. This is because the upgrade condition will already be met.
