Beothel was one of the earlier apprentices of the archmage Arkemyr, though his apprenticeship was cut short due to his difficult temper and penchant for insubordination. When his tutelage under Arkemyr ended, Beothel joined the military and became a terror on the battlefield, combining his defensive and battlefield-controlling magics with military prowess. Though he may have gone on to have a rich and notable military career, Beothel met an early end in battle when a stray arrow cut his life short.
