Drowsy Puke is a character in The Forgotten Sanctum.

Background[ | ]

Items in italics are quoted directly from the game.

The imp is furiously mixing powders and herbs into a mortar and pestle. It leers at you, showing off a row of pointed teeth and a long, flicking tongue.

Drowsy Puke is an amateur chemist responsible for providing drugs to Arkemyr. The dosage he uses is enough to knock out an ogre and feeds the archmage's addiction mightily, but the imp doesn't mind, taking a perverse personal satisfaction out of the job. Drowsy has a penchant for a bit of anarchy, and a secret plan to overthrow Arkemyr and free the imps from his oppression.

This character has other interactions.
  • You can find two additional recipes to add new resting options.
  • With Alchemy 10 or the Scientist background, you can tell he's not a trained apothecary. With a further 1 Alchemy, you can tell that the dosage is enough to bring down an ogre.
  • You can hand him some Ripple Sponge to help him with his concoction.
  • If you're wearing Arkemyr's Old Robe, you can give it to Drowsy Puke to help him overthrow Arkemyr with the other imps in his manor (see below).
  • You can introduce Drowsy Puke to Nemnok if you have him equipped as a pet. They'll discuss their "plans", and if you've already given him the robe you'll get some unique dialogue.
    • If you have Concelhaut's Skull, Nemnok says: "TELL SKULL TO STOP BITING NEMNOK IN SLEEP." Nemnok aims a venomous look down your pack at Concelhaut's leering skull.

Drug trip[ | ]

While sampling the drugs, Drowsy Puke's dialogue and changes to that of a sophisticated scientist. You can choose to ride the trip out, which will result in some rather deep, humorous, and ominous dialogue.

Dialogue Condition
Time passes. You wonder if Eothas could build a castle so large that even he couldn't tip it over.
You wonder if he'd consider rebuilding yours.
You wonder if all the boys in Lipasalis are as handsome as Rekke. If Rekke is recruited, and he has learned Aedyran and told you of Lipasalis.
You wonder if Concelhaut ate the last of your candied nuts. If you have both Concelhaut's Skull and Candied Nuts in your inventory.
Companion Dialogue
Edér "What if all pets are just one pet, but we see them through a variety of lenses? Like dancing shadows cast by a campfire against a barn wall."
Aloth
(as Iselmyr)
"I should've killt the eld bastard. Should've teired his arm clear off. If the laddie hadn't stopped me..."
Maia Rua "You all right there, captain? Looking a little parched. Let me get you some water."
She then gives you a Water.
While Maia rifles through her belongings, Ishiza stares at you. His eyes are mirrors, but you don't see yourself in them. You see only birds. An endless sky, filled with birds. You are nowhere to be found in the avian oblivion.
Pallegina "Di verus, you will sweat yourself dry. What did you do to the Watcher, imp?"
Serafen What none've told you, is that Ngati's but a child, the daughter of the depths, whose own parents are so vast, so impossible, that they could swallow every island in the Deadfire and hunger for more. They slumber in the darkness below the waves, wrapped in their own fleshy cocoons, watching through their daughter's eyes. Waiting.
Xoti "Well dang, Watcher. Save some of that for me!"
Rekke (Only if the Watcher is NOT a death godlike, and Rekke has learned Aedyran)
"It was supposed to be a joke - a sparkbomb, just to scare him. He shouldn't have caught fire. I'm sorry, I'm so sorry... please, mother/father, don't make me leave. I'll die out there."

His sobs are muffled, distorted - as if they come to you down a long hall.

Tekēhu As though sensing your rising anxiety, Tekēhu gently takes you by the shoulder and pulls you into a warm embrace. His skin is soft, and he makes a shushing sound like waves battering the shore. You feel safe.

Imp uprising[ | ]

  • With Arkemyr's Old Robe equipped, the imp asks that you give it to him as part of some cunning plan.
  • When asked for details, he refuses to tell you anything more. However, if you managed to rob Arkemyr's Manor as part of The Archmage's Vault without drawing suspicion to yourself (i.e. talking down all the imps and not entering combat), he says that he trusts your sneaking skills, and tells you that he plans to dress up as Arkemyr and stage an uprising in order to take over the manor with Nemnok the Devourer and the rest of the imps.
  • If you choose to give him the robe, he gives you a Coral Snuff, Deadeye, Ripple Sponge, Svef, Whiteleaf, and a Forgetful Night as thanks.
  • It is unknown whether anything actually comes of Drowsy Puke's plan.
