Durgan Iron Ingot is a unique crafting ingredient introduced in The White March - Part I expansion.
It is used at the White Forge in Durgan's Battery to add the unique Durgan-Refined or Durgan-Reinforced enchantment to any weapon, shield or armor.
Description[ | ]
This cast pig iron ingot has been lightly refined in preparation for eventual use in Durgan steel. Without the fire of the White Forge, it has little value.
How it works[ | ]
Before a Durgan Iron Ingot can be used to enhance an item, it first has to be refined into a Refined Durgan Iron Ingot at the White Forge in Durgan's Battery. Depending on certain player choices during The White Forge main quest, either 3 or 4 iron ingots are needed to create one refined ingot.
Adding the Durgan-Refined or Durgan-Reinforced enchantment will not take up any free enchantment slots ("anvils") on an item.
Acquisition[ | ]
There are altogether 36 Durgan Iron Ingots to be found throughout the whole game: 22 in The White March - Part I and 14 in The White March - Part II, respectively. This means that the player can create 12 or 9 Refined Durgan Iron Ingots in total.

- 3×: Hidden in a floor tile in Uariki's lab.
- [WM1] Longwatch Falls:
- 1×: Hidden vase a little east of dwarven ruins with The Grey Sleeper (you need Mechanics 13 to detect it).
- 1×: Hidden skeleton in the cave of the Alpine Dragon.
- 1×: Hidden vase on the western side of the small fortification in the middle of the map.
- [WM1] Durgan's Battery (Great Hall)
- 1×: Locked chest in the armory.
- [WM1] Durgan's Battery (Mines):
- 8×: Hidden in the minecart in the southwestern mines area (note that it is only accessible after reading the Rolled Parchment found in the satchel of the frozen dwarf in the secret room of The Great Hall, which in turn is accessible from the northwest room of that area).
- 1×: Chest in the workshop area to the northwest.
- 2×: Chest in the area accessed via the minecart scripted interaction.
- [WM1] Durgan's Battery (Foundry):
- 1×: Chest in Abydon's shrine in the northwest.
- 1×: Table in the southwestern room with Adra Disc.
- 2×: Table on the eastern side of the White Forge.
- [WM2] Stalwart Village:
- 3×: Locked crate in the Temple of Abydon. This counts as stealing, but only causes minor reputation loss with Stalwart, nobody goes hostile.
- [WM2] Durgan's Battery
- 2×: Reward from Wengra at the end of the quest Ready the Cannons at the front gates.
- [WM2] Durgan's Battery (Great Hall)
- 1×: Locked chest in the armory, even if looted during WM1
- [WM2] Durgan's Battery (Foundry)
- 1×: The same table in the The White March - Part II version of the map.
- 1×: Given by Deryan during the quest Lair of the Eyeless.
- [WM2] Durgan's Battery (West Tower)
- 2×: Dead forge guardian.
- [WM2] Iron Flail Fort:
- 2×: Hidden stump in the northeastern corner of the map – but only if you awakened Taena's soul during The Recluse of the White March in Part I and she survives the awakening. The ingots will be there along with a note, otherwise the stump will be empty.
- [WM2] Mowrghek Îen:
- 2×: Reward from Herla for completing quest Bogged Down, but only if Benno's soul is "improved".
