God totems

God Totems (also called God Shrine Totems) are special items in Avowed that are collected during the course of the game. Each totem is dedicated to a particular god in Eora's pantheon.

Overview

A complete totem is assembled from a series of 6 God Shrine Totem Fragments and a single God Shrine Totem Base that are hidden throughout the Living Lands. Once the base is collected, it can be displayed at the Totem Shrine in the Party Camp, and each fragment found for that totem can be placed upon it.

Every fragment added to the totem grants it's Activated God Totem Blessing additional effects, which may be toggled on or off by interacting with the shrine, although you may only recieve the blessing of one totem at a time.

Typically, each totem has:

• One fragment that provides Attribute bonuses.
• One fragment that has an on Second Wind effect.
• One fragment that grants Accumulation on crit.

The rest of the effects are themed around the God and their pantheon.

Once all fragments for a specific totem are collected, the totem is fully restored. This doesn't grant any more bonuses beyond the 6 that are available from each fragment, but does complete the associated quest - which is worth a small amount of experience.

In the current game, there are four totems - one per major region. Each totem also has a quest associated with it, and a "map" that provides clues as to where to find the totem pieces that can be purchased from various shops in each region. Finding a totem fragment, totem base, or purchasing the map will start the quest.

• Totem of Rightful Rulership (Woedica), started in Dawnshore via Fragments of the Scales.
• Totem of Defiance (Skaen), started in Emerald Stair via Fragments of the Offering.
• Totem of Perseverance (Galawain), started in Galawain's Tusks via Fragments of the Spoils.
• Totem of Revelations (Wael), started in Shatterscarp via Fragments of the Eyes.

	Idol of Covert Plots	+2 Constitution, +2 Dexterity.
	Idol of Secret Hatred	Increases your damage against unaware enemies by 25%.
	Idol of Violent Rebellion	Increases your damage against "skull" enemies.
	Obsidian Prayer Beads	Critical Hits deal high Poison Accumulation.
	Effigy Necklace	After taking damage from an enemy, your next attack within 10 seconds deals +20% of the original damage you received. Stacks with Retribution.
Eyes of the Obscured (Wael)
	Sapphire Eye	Critical Hits deal high random accumulation.
	Ruby Eye	Second Wind casts Shadowing Beyond.
	Amethyst Eye	Restoring Essence also restores a small amount of Health.
	Emerald Eye	+5% Critical Hit Chance
	Agate Eye	Activating a Level 15 or Level 20 ability grants +5% Damage Reduction for 10 seconds.
	Topaz Eye	+2 Intellect, +2 Perception.
Scales of the Oathbinder (Woedica)
	Broken Crown Jewel	Reduces Companion ability cooldowns by 15%.
	Golden Scale of Order	Activating a Companion ability increases your damage for 5 seconds.
	Golden Scale of Justice	Critical Hits deal high Fire Accumulation.
	Golden Plaque of Oaths	+2 Intellect, +2 Resolve.
	Golden Plaque of Promises	Reviving a Companion grants rapid Health and Essence regeneration.
	Golden Flames	Second Wind casts Ring of Fire.
