Grimoire Mastery is a passive wizard ability in Avowed, learnable at level 5 from the wizard ability tree. It can be upgraded at levels 7, 9 and 11.

Notes[]
- This ability allows you to cast level 5, 10, 15, and 20 spells found in grimoires in the world, and is a prerequisite to allow you to permanently learn them so they may be used without having a grimoire actively equipped. It is NOT required to learn or cast level 1 spells.
- Casting a purchased spell from a grimoire empowers it, casting it as if it were a Rank higher.
- Grimoire Mastery spells must be found in a grimoire before they can be learned.
Trivia[]
- This is one of the few abilities with a non-standard level requirement for its rank upgrades, and with a Rank 4 upgrade. All other level 5 abilities have ranks that unlock at player level 8 and 10 for ranks 2 and 3 respectively.
- Iron Fists is an ability with similar requirements, although being a level 10 ability, its ranks are shifted up by one.
