Hand Mortar is a blunderbuss in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire.
Description[]
As loud and stubby as its owner, this hand mortar marries the short, wide barrel of a blunderbuss to the lightness of a pistol. True hand mortars launch grenades and are unpopular shipboard (and elsewhere) due to the ridiculous danger of igniting one explosive to propel another.
Serafen claims to have had his modified to fire grapeshot by a dwarf gunsmith named Cassilianet he used to crew with aboard the Sorcerer. Despite doubts about the veracity of his story, the efficacy of the gun - and the roaring cloud of burning metal it projects - is rarely questioned.
