Background[]
At the bar, you find a tall man with salt gray hair and strikingly bright blue eyes. His face sports a handful of long scars that continue down his neck and disappear beneath the collar of his shirt. He looks up from wiping down the counter when you approach and gives you a broad, disarming smile.
Jacob Harker is the innkeeper of The King's Coffin on Dunnage. In a previous life, he was the infamous Red King, bane of Vailian merchants on the high seas, exacting his revenge for the Republics driving his father out of business. After a while, however, he tired of the pirate hunters, so he paid off his crew, beached the dhow at Dunnage, and started a tavern.
