Kaenra's Ring is a quest item in Pillars of Eternity.

Description

A gold band laced with adra accents.

Acquisition

• The Goose and Fox, Copperlane: Given to you by Kaenra during His Old Self.

Usage

• Kaenra asks you to return the ring to Purnisc, as it was originally a gift to him from his grandmother.
• Giving it to the fake Purnisc is a tell that something is up, as he doesn't recognize the band.
• The real Purnisc will take the ring if you convince him that Kaenra isn't coming back.
• If you resolve the quest in a positive outcome (i.e. Kaenra returns to Purnisc after you reveal he was an imposter), you can either:
  • Return it to her when she asks for it, assuming you didn't give it to Nyrid or Purnisc.
  • Say you're going to keep it as payment for your services (Cruel, minor).
  • Lie and say it was lost when you fought the wizard (Deceptive, minor).

Keeping the ring this way results in the quest item being swapped out for a non-quest item version of the ring, which may be sold for 200.
