Kusi is a character in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire.

Background

The girl panting before you, draped in tattered Roparu robes, bears a few bruises and cuts but looks otherwise unharmed. Beads of sweat comingle with trickling blood on her forehead.

Finally relaxing, she lowers the sword she's been swinging, letting the edge rest in the dirt. The pommel bears the form of a dog's head.

Kusi has tried clearing the Gullet of a pack of skuldr that have been preying on people for weeks, using a sword left to her by her father, promising she'd use it one day to defend the Deadfire. What he neglected to mention was the fact that she'd also need training to use it effectively.

This character has other interactions.

Kusi is encountered at random while travelling through Neketaka, fighting off a pack of Skuldr. She will offer you Griffin's Blade if you managed to save her or will drop it if she didn't survive. Saving Kusi leads to some extra dialogue. To keep her alive, use several casts of Withdraw, Scroll of Withdraw, or another spell that makes her untargetable. One of the script choices before the fight draws foes' attention away from her (requires Athletics 6) and gives Moderate Positive: Neketaka. Passing this check causes a single tough skuldr to continue attacking her.
