Laethärn is a character in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire.

Laethärn is a leader of the Children of the Dawnstars in the Deadfire Archipelago. He was part of a group hired by Fleet Master Kō to tend the fields on Hasongo. Like many Dawnstars, he recently suffers vivid (sometimes prophetic) dreams and seeks to understand their meaning.

The Watcher's interaction with him determines the future of the Dawnstars. You can either strengthen his faith or convince him the Dawnstars can forge a path without it, or let him decide for himself. This will be reflected in the end-game slides. It can also have an effect on your relationship with some Companions if they are with you when this interaction occurs.
