Lone Survivor is a character in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire.
Background[ | ]
His boots are slicked with grime. His clothes are filthy and rumpled from several days' wear, and his neck and hands are smeared in places with mud.
A pack rests at his heels, empty enough to have flopped into itself. It likely carries no more than his dwindling supplies.
A lone aumaua searching the Old City for treasure, having scaled the cliffs down from the Gullet. Packing about two weeks work of supplies, he quickly realised his situation after being unable to climb back out, and with the only exits being swarmed with grubs.

Helping the Lone Survivor[ | ]
- You can initially save him by fighting through the ruins in the southeastern corner of the Overlook, immediately below the lift walkway. He'll ask you for help to clear a way out, and says the best way out of the old city is via the rivers that run down the cliffs and towards the ocean.
- Kill the grubs in the southwestern corner of the Overlook (they only appear upon approaching), then return to tell him that you've cleared the path. He'll warn you about the Giant Cave Grub, then will proceed to the ruins.
- If you didn't kill the grubs, you can lie to him (Shady, Cruel). He will be killed and his body can be found near the southwestern exit of the overlook.
- Next, in the Old City Ruins, he can be found in the passage to the southeast waiting for you to clear a path ahead.
- This time you'll have to clear the grubs just ahead to the northwest (again they only spawn upon approaching). Careful, since he will die in one hit should the grubs path back towards the tunnel.
- Alternatively, if you opened the door in the Chamber of Waves to the southwest during The Cornett's Call, you can tell him to head that way instead. If you haven't yet killed the grubs ahead, he'll ask if the the route is clear. Again, you can lie to him (Shady / Cruel) and he will be killed.
- You can ask for his torch to help you search ahead - though he is quite reluctant to be left in the dark, either of the options will result in him handing it to you. This doesn't affect the interaction in any way.
- You can ask him how his supplies are holding up, then ask for some food. He'll give you 3 Glazed Chops from his sachel of provisions.
- Assuming you led him to safety, the lone survivor thanks you and asks that you visit him in Port Maje. Later he can be found in Port Maje Harbor, fishing near your ship's berth. Interacting with him, he thanks you once again and gives you a Sapphire and a Cloak of Greater Deflection (though he cannot be talked to in regular conversation).
