Marofeto Liano is a character in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire.
Background
You find a man dressed in worn, dirty leather armor. His long, scraggly beard is encrusted with salt, his curling hair has clearly not seen a comb in some time, and the toenails of his bare fear are cracked and torn. The only thing of any value that he carries is an amulet.
Marofeto is a former Goldpact Knight who was ejected from the order after a botched job. Since then, he wandered the Deadfire, rededicating himself to self-discipline and abstention from worldly distractions. In his view, it is through suffering that the soul becomes strong.
