Background

Coarsely featured but well groomed, the orlan is so short that reclined in his red bergère chair, his elegantly pointed chin barely clears the lip of his desk.

Kua is the ruthless head of the Crookspur Slavers, responsible for the operation of slave hunters bringing foreign chattel for sale in the archipelago and the fleets of slave ships that cross the archipelago.
