This article is about the enchantment. For the fighter ability, see Overbearing Guard. For a weapon type bonus, see Weapon bonus: Overbearing.
Overbearing is a unique enchantment in Pillars of Eternity.
It cannot be applied to items, but the enchantment can be found on unique equipment throughout Eora.
There is also Weapon bonus: Overbearing, a weapon type bonus innate for all Arbalests which grants the same effect.

Notes[ | ]
- The "can inflict Prone" description really means what it says: there is a separate Fortitude roll being done after every weapon crit. So even if the weapon itself does a crit, it can still "miss" with its additional Prone effect. However, the additional effect can also graze or crit, which will then affect its duration (1.5 sec or 4.5 sec, respectively).[1]
- The final length of the Overbearing effect is affected by attacker's Intellect.
