Pillars of Eternity Wiki

In response to patch v1.3.7.0.1377 to Pillars of Eternity (June 6, 2024), the random loot tables shown on the wiki have been updated. These changes may take time to propegate.

As a result, random loot data is no longer accurate to old versions of the game, including all console ports. We'll be working to provide a mechanism to switch between pre-patch and post-patch loot for console players.

The party camp serves as the player's temporary base of operations in Avowed. It can be returned to at any time during gameplay (but not in combat or dialogue) giving you and your companions a moment of rest and respite. The camp exists as a small (possibly instanced) area that moves with the player, and whose appearance changes depending on the region, and the current time of day. The party camp is not upgraded throughout the game.[1]

Your companions, even those that are currently not in the party, can be found at the party camp, where they can be interacted with or asked to rejoin the party. This gives you a chance to talk to them and learn about their backstories. Companions also interact with each other in the party camp, where they exchange in banter.

While in camp, you can also choose to upgrade your equipment using resources you've collected during your adventures, learn new abilities and distribute points into your attributes.

Behind the scenes[ | ]

  • The party camp was first mentioned during the Deep Dive following Developer_Direct 2024.[2]
  • It was later showcased on the second Deep Dive, on a special version of the Official Xbox Podcast after Xbox Games Showcase 2024.[3]
