Clothing (also accessories) is an overarching category consisting of items that are worn by a character other than armor, weapons, and shields. Clothing doesn't mitigate damage, but is often enchanted to provide the wearer with buffs and bonuses.
It is not to be confused with cloth armor, the most lightweight and least protective type of armor.
