Restoring Order is a task in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire.

Synopsis

With the storm floods affecting Port Maje, the Watcher can offer to help Savia by trying to convince Ilari, a local gang leader, to help keep order on Gorecci Street in Port Maje.

Walkthrough

• This quest is received at Port Maje jail, from commander Savia. She will act with suspicion when you offer your help. You can offer a variety of explanations, including a special option for Mercenaries or Goldpact Knights. She will ask you not to turn it into a bloodbath.
• Head out to Gorecci Street. It is recommended that you use the road south of Port Maje, otherwise, you'll need to sneak past (or attack) the pair of looters (number increases with difficulty) to reach Ilari.
• Ilari is found in the northwest and you can convince him to put the street under lawful protection with either:
  • Diplomacy 1 to suggest that Savia would owe him a favor.
  • Intimidate 1, only if you killed the looters and told him that he has "more sense than (his) buddies".
  • 40, to consider as a fee for his protection of Gorecci Street.
• Or you can just cut him and his gang down to size (he drops a Cloak of Deflection).
• Return to Savia for your reward, a cool 1,100 regardless of how you got the job done.
