Scrawled Letter is a letter in Pillars of Eternity.

Description[ | ]

Items in italics are quoted directly from the game.

"I do not think you will ever see this, but you were right, Fulvano. We should have journeyed south together, and been safer for it. I would tolerate all the gloating in the world if I might live to hear it. I have put myself out of reach of the beasts circling below, but I am done for all the same. I do not think I will rise again. Whoever finds this - pray for me. Perhaps in the next life I shall be a trapper of wolves."

Acquisition[ | ]

  • Valewood: Found on a dead body on top of the climbable ruin.

Trivia[ | ]

  • This letter is the dying words of a man from New Heomar, who was travelling with Fulvano days earlier. As he wished to continue north to Geiran's Grasp, the pair split up at Gilded Vale, with Fulvano continuing south to Anslög's Compass. After being attacked by wolves in Valewood, the man managed to climb out of reach, but was fatally injured. This note describes his regret for not listening to Fulvano, where he might have been safer travelling with a companion.
  • Had the man continued with Fulvano, it's likely that both would still be alive today. In addition, it's likely that the Dyrwoodan woman who guided Fulvano from Gilded Vale would still be alive, as Fulvano wouldn't have had the need for a guide.
