Sefyra[1] is a character in Pillars of Eternity. She can be found on level 15, the lowest level of the Endless Paths of Od Nua.

From under a cloak of gloomy shadow, lit only by the sickly hues of the adra statue, emerges what can only be a dragon. Vibrant, living adra plates its hide, and the movement of its great joints is like the grinding of boulders. The dragon stretches itself up to its full height, its horns looming like towers. And then it lowers its head, turning a sharp and intelligent gaze upon you. The dragon is one of the oldest and most powerful entities in Eora. Long before Od Nua fell, the dragon made this great chasm, a place where adra veins converge before descending into the hollows of the world, her home. She was small and light, barely a hatchling, but she grew rapidly and over time, she became physically bound to the adra, and used it to commune with souls on the surface, observing their lives and history.
She has witnessed Od Nua's descent into madness and his megalomaniacal dream of conquering death, observing as the Engwithan king erected the adra titan, then fell prey to the people he preyed upon to achieve his dreams. His slaves provided her with sustenance for a time, before she took to feeding on the adra of the titan and the souls contained within. The fall of the Engwithans and the severance of its ties to the adra veins allowed it to hold the souls of its time and of the eras since. With this sustenance, she went from a mere single intelligence to one hearing the voices of hundreds, if not thousands. She and the statue became inextricably bound to one another.
However, the dragon is keenly aware of the fact that she is trapped deep beneath the ground. Her size prevents her from leaving the Paths and while she can cast her soul far across Eora using the titan as a conduit, she remains bound to her body and forced to return each time. To make things worse, the titan has been severed from the adra veins in preparation for the final ritual. Although filled with souls, it is a finite resource. A few more centuries and the dragon will starve. As such, although she has experienced hundreds of human lives, seeing through their eyes and hearing through her ears, she is always forced to return to the darkness below, where she awaits her inevitable end, as is the fate of all living things.

- The Master Below: The dragon is confronted at the end of the quest. Although she is intent on killing you, you can convince her to give you a chance and then release her into a new, living vessel: Falanroed, a dragon slayer. If you agree to help Sefyra, Captain Falanroed in Balefire Beacon will bear the moniker "Dragon" rather than "Dragonslayer".

Sefyra's abilities are as follows:
- Melee attack that deals 58-88 Slash/Pierce damage.
- AoE Fear Aura (+12 Accuracy vs Will) that terrifies for 5.4 seconds.
- AoE Breath Attack (+12 Accuracy vs Reflex) for ~180 Corrode Damage.
- AoE Wing Slam (+12 Accuracy vs Fortitude) for ~180 Crush Damage, 0.1m Pushback and the chance to set Prone vs Reflex for 12.6 seconds.
She is also immune to Dragon's Breath, Frightened, Petrified, Stuck, Terrified, Unconscious and have a +20 Resistance against Prone.
