Simoc is a the anamfath of the Three-Tusk Stelgaer tribe in Pillars of Eternity. He can be found in Hall of Warriors in the Elms' Reach district of Twin Elms.
Background[ | ]
A grizzled old elf, his hair braided and dyed, stands at one end of the hall. His arms and chest are crosshatched with the pale seams of scars.
His crooked smile looks like another.
Simoc is the 250 year-old anamfath of the Three-Tusk Stelgaer, guiding his clan in all matters. He is currently in Twin Elms to discuss the issue of the hollowborn. Although Eir Glanfath was spared from the devastation it wrought in the Dyrwood, the Legacy remains a concern to Glanfathans.
Simoc is an elder of the clan who still remembers the Broken Stone War and the War of Black Trees, where he fought on the frontlines alongside Galven Regd himself. As such, he has a mean conservative streak and hatred of foreigners. He believes that it was largely through the efforts of the Three-Tusks that the borders of Eir Glanfath remained intact over the centuries of bordering the Dyrwood. He wants his successor to be a worthy leader who would continue his legacy (despite the professed hatred of such estramorwn concepts), but thus far, none of his twelve children are up to the task, including Lliras.
To make things worse, Simoc realizes that in time, the riow of the tribe will choose a successor for him. The most likely candidate is a Fisher Crane girl given to the Stelgaer by their anamfath. She is Simoc's foster daughter, but the lack of blood ties means that Simoc is terrified of a non-Stelgaer succeeding him as anamfath.
