Sleight of Hand is an active skill in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire.


Items in italics are quoted directly from the game.

Whether you want to lift a few coins from an unsuspecting mark or plant incriminating evidence (or worse) on an enemy, sleight of hand can get the job done without drawing suspicion.


Sleight of Hand can be used to improve a character's pickpocketing ability. With more points in the skill, a character can pickpocket a wider range of items, and from higher level characters. You may steal an item if your party assisted Sleight of Hand level is greater than or equal to the difficulty required to pickpocket an item.

Note that Sleight of Hand has no bearing towards being detected while stealing or pickpocketing.

As with all other skills, Sleight of Hand can be checked during conversations and scripted interactions.
