Tawenu is a character in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire.

The young Huana wears a disconcerted frown. He meets your approach with the flicker of a welcoming smile, but it dies down quickly.
Tawenu represents the Duape tribe of Huana, which recently signed a deal with the VTC for the exploitation of adra from their island. However, there is a slight problem in the contract: The ranga did not understand Vailian laws as much as he thought and the contract stipulates that after the ranga dies, the entire island becomes VTC property.
An attempt to renegotiate went awry when Tawenu produced a forged contract to replace the original one, obtained in the Gullet. Since he did not understand the concept of forgery, he thought it was permissible. Instead, he was kicked out and barred from the VTC headquarters.
