Background[]
A seasoned Huana woman rests her elbow on the drum like it's the only thing keeping her upright. She pats the hide skin, the percussion no more effortful than a sigh.
Teana is the village's drummer. Apart from music, she also takes care of signaling and watches the horizon for ships, informing the village of their arrival. She is a Mataru, though she neither hunts nor fights due to a nasty accident that left her with a scar running down the left side of her face and neck and rendered her mute.
