Ymir is a character in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire.
Background[]
The dancer turns to greet you, a coy smile tugging at his lips.
He's short for an elf, but no less graceful for his lacking height. His long face and dark eyes lend him a solemn air, but any hint of gloom is chased away by the wash of color in his cheeks.
Ymir hails from the Aedyr Empire and studied in his youth to become an arcane knight. A prank that went awry and killed several people cut these plans short and, even if he claims it was work of his fellow students rather than being involved himself, caused him to flee all the way to Neketaka. Ymir still appears to feel remorse for the incident, but moved on and settled on a career where he makes his own hours, meets fascinating people, and earns good money. He calls the Aedyr Empire terribly boring.
Ymir is Aloth's acquaintance from school, and is surprised to see Aloth visiting such establishment, although Aloth is quick to declare his preferences haven't changed. Ymir seems to have been romantically interested in Aloth, but Aloth says that he had "confused the poor fellow" during their academy days, followed by a comment from Iselmyr (if she was not suppressed), suggesting that she was the one flirting with Ymir in Aloth's stead. The prank Ymir mentions is presumably the same animancy experiment that Aloth tried to tattle on before it was brought to fruition, losing his own favor with the instructors in the process.
